Quote Currency

A quote currency, also known as a secondary currency, is the currency that is quoted in relation to another currency in a currency pair. For example, in the currency pair EUR/USD, the USD is the quote currency because it represents how much of the USD is needed to purchase one unit of the EUR. In trading, understanding the quote currency is essential for calculating exchange rates and potential profits or losses in foreign exchange transactions.
